SOURCE: Batiller in talks with Arellano

The Arellano University Chiefs continue to beef up their roster for their NCAA Season 93 campaign

After the transfers of Joseph Gabayni and Adrian Alban, the Arellano University Chiefs are in talks with former University of the East Red Warrior Bonbon Batiller.

The 22-year-old native of General Santos City was cut from the UE Red Warriors during the off-season due to academic issues, according to a report by SPIN.ph. Batiller returned to General Santos City, but Arellano quickly showed interest by keeping constant communication with him.

Batiller went back to Manila just a few days ago to visit Arellano University, and multiple sources from the team have said that the only thing hindering the transfer is clearance from the University of the East. The 5-foot-11 guard went back to Gen San a few days later to finish his commitments.UAAP-79-UP-vs.-UE-Batiller-1388 SOURCE: Batiller in talks with Arellano AU Basketball NCAA News UAAP UE - philippine sports news

Batiller played a season with Holy Trinity College before transferring to UE back in 2014. He averaged 10.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.6 steals during his two year stay in Recto, but failed to make the Final Four both times.

Once he secures clearance, he will have to sit out a full year. He will have a year of eligibility remaining afterwards.
