The pressure of the Ateneo Blue Eagles – UP Fighting Maroons game clearly got to Fighting Maroons head coach Bo Perasol.
With 6:23 left in the third frame and UP down 35-47, Perasol was left fuming after what he thought was a non-call on one of his players Jerson Prado.
The fourth-year UP mentor stormed onto the court, confronting one of the three game officials.
After he was slapped with his first technical foul, Perasol assumed a fighting stance against the same officials while players and team officials restrained him.
Perasol was then ejected from the game.
His outburst led to a five-point swing that extended Ateneo’s lead to 52-37.
Perasol will most likely be suspended for the first game in the second round of the UAAP Season 82 Men’s Basketball Tournament.
