Blacklist conquers Echo for record third-straight M-series appearance

Blacklist International made history on Saturday by securing a third-straight appearance in the M-series, thanks to a 3-1 conquest of Echo in the lower bracket finals of the Mobile Legends Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 12 playoffs at the EVM Convention Center in Quezon City.

The Tier One-backed squad will dispute the MPL PH title with AP.Bren in the grand finals tomorrow, the team that had sent them to the lower bracket just a day earlier.

In the opener, Kiel “Oheb” Soriano (Irithel) went on a rampage, with an almost perfect 8-1-5 KDA, as Blacklist drew first blood, leading 1-0.

Game 2 came down to a 24th-minute Lord dance where Stephen “Sensui” Castillo secured the Lord objective, helping Blacklist reach match point moments later.

With their backs against the wall, Echo debuted star roamer Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera in the playoffs, which translated into a breakthrough win. In his first playoff game in Season 12, Yawi (Khufra) earned the Game MVP and finished with a 0-2-10 KDA.

However, Blacklist delivered a masterful performance in Game 4 to secure the last ticket to the title match.
