Birthday boys Jalalon, Almazan headline eight Asia Cup players present


With just six days to go before the 2017 FIBA Asia Cup, Jiovani Jalalon and Raymond Almazan made sure to attend Gilas Pilipinas’ practice on Wednesday night, even if it was the their birthdays.

Jalalon turned 25 years old today, while Almazan turned 28.

Joining the two were Terrence Romeo, Calvin Abueva, Gabe Norwood, Christian Standhardinger, Carl Cruz, and Matthew Wright. Absent from the team were Japeth Aguilar, June Mar Fajardo, Jayson Castro, and Roger Pogoy, as their mother teams had games at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum.

For the SEA Games team, Kiefer Ravena, Raymar Jose, Mike Tolomia, Fonzo Gotladera, Kobe Paras, Almond Vosotros, and Bobby Ray Parks Jr. were in attendance.

Andre Paras joined the practice as well for the second straight day.
