A hard-luck outing pushed Bianca Pagdanganan way down to joint 62nd as the Round 3 of the 2020 Marathon Classic concluded Sunday morning (Philippine time) in Sylvana, Ohio.
After an impressive end to the first half of the competition, Pagdanganan was off to a rough start in the third after recording three straight bogeys from the third to the fifth holes.
Two more bogeys at the back nine, along with two double bogeys, pushed the rookie to a six-over 77 for this round.
This is Pagdanganan’s second appearance at the Marathon LPGA Classic.
Back when she was just 21 years young, the Asian Games gold medalist received an exemption into the 2018 tournament, finishing T67.
On the other hand, Dottie Ardina improved to a share of 49th spot.
The 26-year-old Ardina improved to a two-under 69 for the round for an aggregate of 211 after producing five birdies, three of them at the front nine.
Two bogeys in at the 10th and 13th holes made it hard for the six-year veteran, but two birdies at the 12th and 17th concluded her round.
The final round of the competition will start on Sunday night (Philippine time) with Pagdanganan taking the course at 8:00 p.m., while Ardina starts her turn at 10:00 p.m.
