The Philippines Women’s National Baseball Team could not overcome continental powerhouses Japan and Korea to fall to the classification phase of the III BFA Women’s Asian Cup over the weekend in Hong Kong.

The Philippines placed third in the second edition of the tournament in 2019.

Composing the squad coached by Egay delos Reyes are Diana Balderama, Helga Campos, Shyla Celis, Genesis Degollacion, Mharnie Dela Cruz, Dharlene Dolleton, Madelene Domaug, Martine Francisco, Remilie Herrero, Jojielyn Lim, May Mahinay, Erika Olfato, Nicole Padasas, Meann Ramos, Veronica Santiago, Jenifer Singh, Aila Subaldo, and Esmeralda Tayag.

Reinforcing the squad are Fil-Am Isabella Fong and Fil-Canadian Alexandra Sy.

The classification phase begins on Tuesday.
