Bennyqt leaves Execration

MPL-PH Season Six third placer Execration will no longer have side laner Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales in its roster.

The organization announced the development on its Facebook page.

We would like to announce the departure of Benedict ‘Bennyqt’ Gonzales from the Execration ML team. We want to thank him for the amazing contributions he brought us and we will always cherish the bonding, experience, and goals we have achieved together as a team,” Execration’s statement read.

“The Execration family wishes him the best of luck on his future endeavors. Thank you to our fans as well for being with us through everything.”

The statement did not disclose the reason behind Bennyqt’s departure, but a farewell post from Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog hinted at a possible transfer to another MPL team.

“Thank you pre! Good luck sa bagong team mo,” quipped the All-MPL team member.

The team placed third this season after a reverse sweep on ONIC PH, 3-2, in the battle for third place.

Execration, who was coming off a fourth-place finish in Season Four, acquired Bennyqt for Season Five. He replaced Jeff “S4gitnu” Subang — who was then re-acquired by the team for Season Six.

Bennyqt had a solid debut in Season Five, switching up with Jaylord “Hate” Gonzales in the core spot. He later settled into a fighter role in the latter part of the season due to the change in meta.

Execration finished fourth in Season Five.

Bennyqt then showed his vast improved game in Season Six, playing once again in the side lanes with different heroes such as Alice, Chou, Thamuz, Kagura, Lunox, Claude, and Wanwan.
