Belga knows he will lose sleep after tough OT loss

Badtrip!

The first Friday the 13th of 2017 will be a memorable one for Beau Belga and the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters… just for the wrong reasons.

Up by as much as six points with two minutes left, the San Miguel Beermen were able to cut the lead to just two points with 17 second remaining. Rain or Shine head coach Caloy Garcia quickly called for time to calm his players down.

The Elasto Painters were able to waste eight seconds after a mental lapse by Chris Ross. However, Ross was more than able to make up for it, swiping the ball from Beau Belga that led to a game-tying jumper by Alex Cabagnot to send the game into overtime.

Basta ako sa sarili ko, di ako makakatulog ngayon, badtrip!,” a frustrated Belga shared after Rain or Shine’s 101-107 overtime loss.

Belga, one of the least turnover prone players this conference — averaging just 1.5 per game, committed three errors in the game. But the Elasto Painters still had chances to take win it in overtime but the game just was not for them.

“Wala kang masisisi eh,” the nine-year league veteran, who finished the game with 14 points and five rebounds, furthered.

And now that they are tied with Globalport at the second spot in the standings, he remains confident that they are still ready to take on all comers.
