Bea de Leon extends helping hand to kababayans in Marikina City


Bea de Leon has extended a helping hand to her fellow townmates in Marikina amid the continued spread of the coronavirus.

The 5-foot-11 middle blocker of Choco Mucho donated boxes of relief goods from Rebisco to help others, as per Marikina Second District Representative Stella Quimbo in a tweet.

“MVP on and off the court,” Quimbo wrote.

“Salamat sa iyong donasyon para sa batang Marikenyo, Bea De Leon!”

De Leon’s hometown, and the entire world, has been devasted by the health crisis. With a large-scale lockdown, countless of livelihoods have been crippled, and acts of kindness such as this truly help.

In the local volleyball scene, the former Ateneo stalwart joins the likes of Jia Morado and Alyssa Valdez, among others, who have made their presence felt in this dire situation.
