Gilas cut Baser Amer, Carl Cruz versus Chinese-Taipei

Tried and tested

Gilas head coach Chot Reyes will field a tried-and-tested lineup for their road game against Chinese-Taipei in the third window of the 2019 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers.

The announcement of the team was made over at ESPN5.

The core of Jayson Castro, June Mar Fajardo, Japeth Aguilar, Gabe Norwood, Calvin Abueva Troy Rosario, Allein Maliksi, Jio Jalalon, Matthew Wright, Roger Pogoy, and Andray Blatche have been pencilled in.

Making his return to the fold is Terrence Romeo, who missed the first two windows.

Baser Amer and Carl Cruz did not make the cut. Troy Rike, who is serving as the team’s practice player, has yet to get his papers fixed.

Gilas, who own a 3-1 card heading into the third window, defeated Chinese-Taipei at home 90-83 last November 27.
