With ONIC PH coach Denver “Yeb” Miranda sidelined due to Dengue fever, veterans Allen “Baloyskie” Baloy and Marky “Markyyyyy” Capacio made sure to fill in the void left by their mentor.
Hospitalized prior to the final week of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Eight, Yeb wasn’t able to join his team during ONIC PH’s 2-1 win over RSG PH on Saturday.
Good thing for him, though, team captain Baloyskie and Markyyyyy were there to take over the drafting chores for the team.
“In-charge po sa draft kaming dalawa ni Markyyyyy, tapos tulungan po lahat kami,” revealed Baloyskie during the post-match interview.
The two admitted later on that they had a hard time drafting in the big stage, comparing the situation to when they were drafting for the team during scrimmages.
Baloyskie also noted that the team still got a huge boost from Yeb despite the situation.
All thanks to the leadership of Baloyskie and Markyyyyy, ONIC PH managed to improve its standing to 27 points – a point behind the league-leading Blacklist International – through a 9-4 win-loss standing.
The team looks to end their regular season campaign on a high note against the also-ran TNC tomorrow, Sunday at 4:00 PM.
