B.League: Kiefer Ravena, Shiga sent crashing back down by Yokohama

Kiefer Ravena and Shiga could not ride their momentum from yesterday, falling to Yokohama 98-85 in the 2021-22 B.League season, Sunday at Ukaruchan Arena.

Ravena continued his fine play, finishing with 22 points and eight assists. However, it all went for naught as the Lakestars had a slow start they could not recover from.

Shiga started off flat, putting up just 12 points in the opening frame, to fall behind by 14 points early.

Behind the 14 third quarter points of Novar Gadson, the Lakestars were able to cut the lead to single digits.

Leyton Hammonds and Koya Sudo then gained the hot hand in the final frame, combining for 20 points and restoring order for the Dragonflies.

Hiroshima went up to 13-8 while Shiga fell to 7-14.

Hammonds had 28 points to lead the Dragonflies, while Reginald Becton tallied 16 points and 18 rebounds. Patrik Auda added 18 points as well, going 10-of-14 from the foul stripe.

Besides Ravena, Gadson finished with 27 points and 11 rebounds. Sean O’ Mara added 19 points and 13 rebounds.

Ravena and Shiga will host Kobe Paras and Niigata on Christmas weekend.
