B.League: Cariño goes scoreless as Aomori routed by Koshigaya anew

Coming off a 53-point trumping yesterday, Aomori still had no answers against Koshigaya, absorbing a 76-100 rout in the 2021-22 B.League Division II season, Sunday at Koshigaya City Gymnasium.

Though keeping close in the first quarter, the Alphas went on a 16-3 burst to start the second stanza. That then put the game out of reach.

Koshigaya’s lead would go to as high as 32 points, 90-58, after a free throw from Cherif Sow.

Aggressive was Koshigaya in getting to the foul stripe, attempting 27 free throws compared to just 14 for the guests. Moreover, the Alphas shot 52-percent from the field and knocked down 14 treys.

The Wat’s suffered their fourth straight loss to go down to 1-9 in the east.

Makoto Kamata led the way for Koshigaya with 21 points on five treys, while Sow added 13 points, five rebounds, and three blocks.

Isaac Butts tallied a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Tomoya Ochiai also had 12 points, going 3-of-3 from distance as the Alphas rose to 7-3, also in the east.

Hayate Komosawa paced Aomori with 16 points and seven assists but had five turnovers.

Daichi Shimoyama, Renaldo Dixon, and Hiroki Usui all got 13 points with Dixon also grabbing 12 rebounds.

Filipino import Kemark Cariño went scoreless in eight minutes of game time. He was 0-of-3 from the field with one rebound.

Aomori looks to bounce back on Wednesday, 6:00 PM when they host Yamagata.
