Aurora extends winning streak to 8 in MPL PH with escape of ONIC PH

Aurora notched their eighth straight win after completing a repeat 2-1 victory over ONIC Philippines in Week 6 of MPL Philippines Season 16 on Saturday at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati City.

The win allowed Aurora to extend its hold on the league’s top spot with an 8-1 record, leaving ONIC Philippines trailing at 6-3 in second place.

Game 1 turned on the 12th-minute Lord fight, where Jan “Domengkite” Delmundo’s Wanwan unleashed a Crossbow of Tang that triggered a 4-for-0 wipe, setting the stage for Aurora’s decisive push.

King “K1NGKONG” Perez (Joy), however, stole the spotlight in Game 2. His Electrifying Beats late in the 18th minute led to a double kill and secured the Lord objective.

K1NGKONG then teamed up with Jann “Kirk” Gutierrez (Phoveus) during the 22nd-minute skirmish, forcing a 3-for-1 exchange and scoring the equalizer a minute later.

In Game 3, Domengkite (Granger) sealed Aurora’s closeout victory with a triple kill late in the 14th minute.
