Ateneo-La Salle UAAP Men’s Football clash abandoned due to inclement weather

The highly-anticipated UAAP Season 87 Collegiate Men’s Football clash between Ateneo de Manila University and De La Salle University was abandoned on Sunday evening due to inclement weather.

The match, held at the UP Diliman Football Stadium, was suspended in the 14th minute with the score still 0-0 due to heavy rain and lightning.

The game was initially halted for 30 minutes to assess the possibility of resuming play, followed by an additional 30-minute delay.

After an hour’s wait, it was announced that the match would be rescheduled to a later date and would start from scratch.

Tickets purchased for Sunday’s game will be honored on the rescheduled date.
