For Far Eastern University Tamaraw Arvin Tolentino, in the Sunday ball game he had to go up against a bunch of familiar faces and familiar plays with the Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles, his former team. And although the Tamaraws bowed to the Blue Eagles, 94-82, Tolentino cannot deny the fact that he still had fun during the game.
that was fun

“I enjoyed it kasi diba yung mga former teammates ko na-miss ko rin sila eh.
“Before the game, sinabihan nila ako na ‘We missed you,'” the Tamaraw forward shared after the game.
Tolentino — who played limited minutes due to a left calf injury — scored all of his 11 points in the fourth quarter to try to halt Ateneo’s momentum. However, the sweet-shooting Blue Eagles still ran away with the win.
“Maganda rin talaga game namin. Na-execute namin yung game plan. Pero yun nga, grabe yung shooting nila eh, swerte eh,” the 6-foot-5 cager complimented.
“Grabe sila. They are super disciplined. They are well coached.”
And although a lot of people expected him to play a revenge game against his former team, he denied and clarified that he had simply treated it just like any other game.
“Extra motivation siguro, hindi dahil Ateneo ang kalaban pero siguro we want to pick ourselves up kasi 1-1 na kami na kapag natalo kami, 1-2, mahirap na posisyon yun.
“Yun lang siguro naging extra motivation ko now. For me and Hubert [Cani], di naman porket Ateneo ang kalaban, wala naman kaming bawi factor para sa kanila,” the UAAP Season 77 Rookie of the Year said.
He may still have a soft side for Ateneo, even raising his right fist during Ateneo’s Song for Mary after the game, but he has promised to give it all for his home now, FEU’s green and gold.
“Third game palang namin ‘to. Medyo mahaba haba pa and we’ll try to improve every game as much as we can.”
