Animam fills up statsheet as SHU racks sixth win in UBA

Jack Animam and Shih Hsin University did not break a sweat while taking a dominant 105-48 win over National Taipei University in the 2020-21 University Basketball Alliance season, Saturday at their homecourt.

The 6-foot-2 native of Bulacan was all over the place in this game. She scattered 14 points on 7-of-9 shooting with 10 rebounds, three blocks, two steals, and two assists. And the National University product needed just 17 minutes of game time to produce those numbers.

It was another defensive masterpiece for the defending champions, who limited their opponents to just seven first quarter points.

All in all, NTU committed 43 turnovers, had just 22 rebounds, and shot just 33-percent from the field.

The Tigers cruised to a clean 6-0 slate.

Lin Die paced SHU with 18 markers while Chen Yuti added 11 points, six rebounds, and three assists.

Xu Wenxuan and Yang Shuyan led the bench mob of SHU this time around with 13 points each.

Sophomore Song Shuping led Taipei U – who dropped to 0-6 – with 10 markers.

SHU closes out its homestand against North City University on Sunday. NCU is another powerhouse squad in the league, currently holding a 5-1 slate.
