Andrei Dungo, five other Red Cubs transfer to UST

It’s not just the Red Lions who have experienced an exodus.

The Red Cubs have seen six of its standouts in the program transfer to University of Santo Tomas High School.

The biggest recruit the Tiger Cubs scored is definitely Andrei Dungo.

The 6-foot-3 winger out of Pampanga was the 20th ranked high school player in the SMART-NBTC rankings.

During his one year stay in San Beda, Dungo averaged 11.71 points, 6.57 rebounds, 2.93 assists, and 1.64 steals per game.

Dungo will also be programmed to the Growling Tigers after high school.

Floor general Lance Ronquillo, meanwhile, also played for the Red Cubs in NCAA Season 98.

Also moving out of Taytay were Basty Castro, Martin Bacani, Randel Balayan, and Alfred Loreto.

UST is coming off a fourth place finish in UAAP Season 85. The school’s new head coach is former Red Cubs mentor Manu Inigo.

San Beda, on the other hand, finished third in NCAA Season 98.
