Aljun Melecio to miss La Salle tilt versus UST


Sophomore gunslinger Aljun Melecio will miss the De La Salle University Green Archers’ fifth assignment for the season on Saturday, as he is currently confined in an undisclosed hospital due to a case of urinary tract infection.

Melecio, 18, has been confined since last Wednesday after suffering a high fever. After further studies, it was determined that he had been experiencing UTI.

“Di ako makakalaro tomorrow. Confined ako sa hospital now,” shared Melecio, who copped the UAAP Season 79 Rookie of the Year plum.

The 5-foot-7 guard is currently playing a team-high 33 minutes a contest, posting norms of 14.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.8 steals.

The Green Archers are currently tied for second in the standings with a 3-1 slate.
