Alarcon, Abadiano, Torres, Fortea reunite for one last run with San Juan

Even in their first foray into the pros, Harold Alarcon, Reyland Torres, Gerry Abadiano, and Terrence Fortea have decided to stick together for one final run before heading to the PBA.

The four have agreed to play for San Juan-Go for Gold in the 2026 MPBL season.

The development was first reported by Spin.ph and later confirmed to Tiebreaker Times by multiple league insiders.

The quartet first played together at National University Nazareth School in high school before reuniting at the University of the Philippines for college.

During their five-year stint with the Fighting Maroons, the four helped UP secure the UAAP Season 84 and 87 titles.

In their final year, it was Alarcon, a 6-foot-1 guard from Silay City, who stood out, averaging 12.39 points, 3.56 rebounds, 2.78 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.

Meanwhile, Abadiano, a 5-foot-11 guard from Iloilo, flourished as UP’s two-guard, posting 8.72 points, 1.94 rebounds, and 1.56 assists per contest.

Torres, a hard-nosed 6-foot-1 winger from Bago City, averaged 4.67 points and 2.33 rebounds. Then Fortea, a native of San Juan, contributed 4.39 points, 1.44 rebounds, and 1.78 assists per game.

This is a huge coup for the Alex Angeles-coached team, as San Juan comes off a division semifinals appearance, where they were knocked out by Pangasinan.
