Adamson begs off from Filoil bronze game, takes on UV in Surigao

There won’t be a bronze medal game in the 2022 Filoil Ecooil Preseason Cup on Saturday.

Adamson University has begged off from competing in the third place match as it has a prior commitment.

The Soaring Falcons are headed to San Agustin, Surigao del Sur this weekend as they will take on the University of Visayas Green Lancers in an exhibition game setup by Vice Governor Mangi Alameda.

Adamson has that game penciled in for a month already.

The Soaring Falcons were dealt a heartbreak by National University on Thursday, falling 70-71 in overtime.

With this, De La Salle University, who lost to Far Eastern University in the other bracket — 67-71 in overtime, will automatically gain third place.

The winner-take-all clash between the Bulldogs and the Tamaraws will still push through at 5:00 PM.
