Aces Pro acquires Bren Esports

Bren Esports is poised to enter a new era after being acquired by Aces Pro Corp.

The announcement was made earlier in the day at a press conference held at Jin Jiang Inn in Makati City.

Bren Esports will now be known as AP Bren.

As the first Philippine team to win the M-series in the Mobile Legends Professional League in 2021, this Philippine esports icon is here to prove that it can undoubtedly go even further.

Aces Pro Corp. is led by Jean Alphonse “AJ” Ponce, an entrepreneur and Provincial Board Member of the 1st District Province of Cagayan.

Ponce was responsible for establishing Tambay TV League, which produced some of the best amateur talents in the scene. He also previously managed an amateur ML:BB team under AP Esports.

“The rebranding allows the team to move forward from the organizational challenges of 2023 and significantly improve their performance through the infusion of more resources for recruitment and player development,” said Ponce.

The Bren brand is well-loved, and it has proven itself in multiple leagues. While the roster possesses an abundance of raw talent, my hope is that our leadership can help propel them to even greater heights,” he added.

Bren Esports’ chief operating officer, Jab Escutin, operations manager Jeff Victoriano, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang head coach Francis Glindro, along with their entire team, will be retained by the new management.

Recently, Duckey and his crew, composed of Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel, David “FlapTzy” Canon, Marco “SUPER MARCO” Requitano, Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo, and Michael “KyleTzy” Sayson, helped the Philippines secure its third consecutive gold medal in ML:BB at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia.
