ABL: Juan GDL tallies triple-double in CLS rout of Misor; SG defeats Zamboanga


Juan Gomez de Liaño impressed in his second game for CLS, tallying a triple-double in their 119-82 beatdown of MisOr in the 2022 ASEAN Basketball League Pre-SEA Games tournament, Wednesday at Liga Bali Arena.

The former Earthfriends Tokyo Z guard tallied 18 points on 7-of-16 shooting with 11 assists and 10 rebounds in just 24 minutes of action.

Dominant were the Knights in the contest, racing to a 42-14 start and leading by as many as 50 points in the game.

Jaywuan Hill got 26 points on 10-of-11 shooting as well for the Knights while Spain’s top 3×3 player Carlos Martinez tallied 18 points and eight rebounds.

Marcus Hammonds scattered 11 points, seven rebounds, and six assists also for the Indonesian club, who raised its slate to 2-0. Meanwhile, De Angelo Hamilton produced a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Mark Doligon led the 0-2 Mustangs with 19 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds, while Mac Baracael got 15 markers.

In the other game, Singapore scored its first win, defeating Zamboanga MLV, 92-76.

Delvin Goh flat-out dominated in the contest, finishing with 22 points, 15 rebounds, and nine assists as the SEAG-bound team went to 1-1.

Jun Hao Mah added 18 points on 8-of-9 shooting a well.

Durexx Diaz paced the 0-2 Valientes with 22 points, while Jeff Bernardo added 16 points. Jayr Ng Sang tallied a double-double in the loss with 12 points and 13 boards.
