2019 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers

60 seconds with SMART Gilas Pilipinas’ Allein Maliksi

Just a day before SMART Gilas Pilipinas’ first home stand 2019 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers, let’s get to know another player from our team: the returning Allein Maliksi.

Maliksi made his debut with the National Team back in the 2017 SEABA Championship. However, due to his commitment with his former club team, he was not allowed to suit up for either the SEA Games team or the Asia Cup squad.

Now free from his shackles, the 6-foot-4 gunslinger is enjoying every moment of this new journey.

In this quick fire interview, Maliksi shares his childhood dream of becoming a policeman and shows that even if he is gunslinger on the court, he is a selfless man off of it.
