F2 Logistics dumps Cocolife for first winning streak

The F2 Logistics Cargo Movers limited their errors and used a balanced attack to spark their win streak to two games, sweeping the Cocolife Asset Managers, 25-16, 25-12, 25-16, in Group D of the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre.

F2 Logistics wasted no time putting the match out of doubt, outclassing Cocolife in nearly every category. Not only did the defending champs dominate offensively, they also coaxed Cocolife into 30 errors, 14 less than their own.

F2 Logistics head coach Ramil De Jesus is relieved to his team play at this level after they dropped their first two matches of the conference.

“Sana magtuloy-tuloy ‘yung ganitong laro namin. Ang goal talaga namin this round is mag-number one sa group namin para mas madali sa susunod na round,” said De Jesus, who is fresh off leading the De La Salle University Lady Spikers to the UAAP Season 79 title.

UAAP MVP Majoy Baron led F2 Logistics with 11 points. while Kianna Dy and Desiree Cheng — both UAAP Finals Most Valuable Players — added seven points apiece.

With a 2-2 record, F2 Logistics sit comfortably atop Group D along with Cocolife (1-3), Sta. Lucia (1-3) and Cherrylume (0-4).

Former La Salle Lady Spiker Michele Gumabao led Cocolife with 14 points, but was the only Asset Manager who contributed significantly on offense.
