Danny Seigle was only playing an average of 13.9 minutes/game prior to TNT’s quarter-final affair with NLEX. But with his fellow frontcourt people suffering from foul trouble and minor injury, he once again rose to the occasion.
“(I was) playing a lot of minutes because Mo (Tautuaa) got into foul trouble and Kelly’s (Williams) back is bothering him. I am just ready. I have to be ready. I know there are some games I may not play at all,” Seigle shared.
Tautuaa only played close to nine minutes and had three points while Williams returned to the locker room in the third quarter as he was experiencing some pain. Williams returned to the bench in the fourth quarter.
Seigle scored seven of his 17 points in the fourth quarter, helping TNT with offensive rebounds and put backs. He shot 6-for-9 from the field in 20:34 of action.
The steady veteran shared staying in great shape is always his priority, as he knows there will be moments he will be needed to step up.
“I go to practice early, I work out as much as I can, for the simple facts like that. Some get into foul trouble, so I have to be ready.”
