Zamboanga continues to load up, signs Jun Manzo


With the 2019-20 MPBL Lakan Cup reaching its crucial stretch, Zamboanga Family’s Brand Sardines continued to beef up his lineup. 

The squad have signed UP Fighting Maroon guard Jun Manzo.

The league released the memo Monday morning.

Manzo, a 5-foot-9 guard out of Cebu, had a spectacular three-year stay in UP.

In his final year, the 22-year-old averaged 8.38 points, 4.0 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game. He steered the Fighting Maroons to a third place finish in the UAAP Season 82 Men’s Basketball Tournament.

Manzo started his collegiate career with University of Visayas.

Zamboanga is currently 13-10 in the south division of the league.
