Will Gozum will be making his return to the NCAA —but it’s not with Mapua University.
The former NCAA Juniors Basketball MVP has decided to join College of Saint Benilde.
ABS-CBN Sports’ Norman Riego was the first to report the development.
After a two year stay in University of the Philippines, the 20-year-old, 6-foot-7 big man decided to leave Diliman.
During his rookie year, the product of Mapua only played 4.2 minutes per game, totaling just 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Things did not get any better in his sophomore year, though, as he played in just three games, logging in just six minutes and 54 seconds.
In Saint Benilde, he will be the man manning the middle for the Blazers.
Other schools that courted him are Letran, UST, and NU.
Gozum will have to sit out one year before being eligible for the NCAA Season 97 Seniors Basketball Tournament.
