The season of giving is turning of forgiving for Philippine Volleyball
In a surprising turn of events, embattled volleyball officials Ramon “Tats” Suzara of the Philippine Superliga, and Tony Boy Liao of the Premier Volleyball League, have reportedly begun having talks regarding the future of Philippine Volleyball, mediated by Philippine Volleyball Federation president Edgardo Cantada.
Suzara is the president of the PSL while Liao is the tournament director of rival-league PVL. The meeting was said to be held at Century Park in Malate, Manila.
2017 saw a tumultuous year for local volleyball as controversy sprouted left and right between the PSL and PVL regarding issues such as forming the National Team, scheduling of their respective games, and securing of International Transfer Certificates.
According to reports and different sources, this initial meeting is just the first step to further sewing the broken ties between volleyball’s top stakeholders.
The talks are set to resume after the holiday break.
