Valdez relishes first try at hosting

Every season, the UAAP is trying to innovate the Cheerdance Competition. This season, the production introduced a post-performance interview of the squads.

With this new feature came a fresh host by the name of three-time UAAP Women’s Volleyball Most Valuable Player Alyssa Valdez.

The Phenom was elated to be given the chance to host a marquee event like this. However, she shared that she’d had no idea how to prepare

“It is really new to me, so I really don’t know how to prepare. If it’s a game, I know how [to prepare], I have to train lang,” she said.

“I just did research lang yung mga nanalo for the past years, kung anong nangyari last year, kung anong mga naging challenges ng mga teams,” she added. “I don’t know if that’s preparation for me, kasi I am new to this field.”

She said, “I watch CDC every time.

And her reviews from the netizens was favorable compared to her contemporaries. Valdez was more than relieved once she heard about it.

“Talaga po? Wow!
