V-League: NU continues dominant run, sweeps Perps in semis

National University remained immaculate after sweeping University of Perpetual Help System DALTA, 25-22, 25-22, 25-16, to enter the finals of the 2022 V-League Men’s Collegiate Challenge, Wednesday at the Paco Arena.

Michaelo Buddin continued to shine for the Bulldogs, unleashing 20 points on 19 attacks to go along with 11 excellent receptions to help his team extend their winning streak to seven games.

Nico Almendras backstopped Buddin with 13 points on nine attacks, two service aces, and two kill blocks while Obed Mukaba had 10 points which includes four huge blocks.

“Syempre sobrang thankful ako sa naging performance namin today. Although syempre nag-struggle pa rin talaga kami sa unforced errors namin pero credit sa Perpetual talagang lumaban sila,” said NU head coach Dante Alinsunurin.

Louie Ramirez was the lone bright spot for the Altas with 18 points on 17 attacks to go along with four excellent digs.

NU will go up against the winner of the Ateneo-UST semifinals match in the finals on Sunday at 10:00 AM while Perpetual will take on the loser of the same series in the men’s bronze match later that day at 5:00 PM.
