Uratex Dream fought valiantly but came up short as Flowlish Gunma captured the Manila Hustle 3×3 Season 4 title, 17-11, Sunday at SM Mall of Asia Music Hall.
Canadian Olympian Saicha Grant-Allen was unstoppable, firing eight points, four rebounds, and three assists, including the game-sealing layup with 12 seconds remaining to secure MVP honors and lead the Japanese club to victory.
Misa Yokoi added seven points, as Flowlish Gunma took home the $4,000 cash prize and a ticket to the FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series Shanghai stop in May.
The win also ensured the Manila Hustle crown stayed with a Japanese team after ZOOS Tokyo won the previous two seasons.
Uratex Dream, led by Afril Bernardino, rallied from a 13-6 deficit to close the gap to 17-15.
Bernardino finished with eight points and earned a spot in the Mythical Three alongside CT Tigers’ Supavadee Kunchuan.
Dream, which also featured Kaye Pingol, Samantha Harada, and Li Renzhu, took home $2,500 for the runner-up finish.
Kunchuan guided CT Tigers to a 21-11 victory over Gilas Pilipinas Stars in the third-place game, claiming $1,500.
