UP’s Miguel ruled out for remainder of Spikers’ Turf season

The University of the Philippines’ leading scorer during the 78th Season of the UAAP, Wendel Miguel, will miss the rest of Spikers’ Turf Collegiate Conference due to a dislocated left shoulder sustained in their opening match against the EAC Generals.

“Hindi na siya makakalaro for the rest of Spikers’ Turf. Na-dislocate ‘yung shoulder niya,” confirmed Maroons’ head coach Rod Palmero.

Miguel will most likely be available for the UAAP 79 beach volleyball tournament, which begins around October.

“‘Yun na ang target na makapag-focus siya sa beach volley,” Palmero said.

The Maroons are currently 2-0 in Group A of the Spikers’ Turf after defeating the NCBA Wildcats in five sets earlier today.
