College of Saint Benilde continues to load up for the centennial edition of the NCAA.
Six-foot-five winger Anton Eusebio has left University of the Philippines after two seasons, transferring to St. Benilde.
Blazers head coach confirmed the development to Tiebreaker Times that was first reported by Rappler’s Naveen Ganglani.
“I’m excited because we’re losing a lot of players next season, and he would bring us a lot of athleticism,” said Tiu.
“Hopefully, we can continue to develop him and provide him with the right opportunities to thrive.”
Eusebio, a Filipino-Canadian, committed to the Fighting Maroons in 2020 but struggled to find minutes in two seasons played.
During UAAP seasons 84 and 85, Eusebio only logged a total of 38 minutes and 22 seconds for totals of 14 points and 12 rebounds in eight games played.
In CSB, he will get a chance to shine after sitting out one full year.
Coming off a bridesmaid finish in NCAA Season 98, the Blazers have piled up talent from the transfer pool, getting the commitments of La Salle’s Emman Galman, EAC’s Allen Liwag, CEU’s Jhomel Ancheta, and San Beda’s Tony Ynot and Justine Sanchez.
