Assessment:
Perpetual lost three of their four top players in leading scorer Juneric Baloria (21.0ppg), second leading rebounder Harold Arboleda (9.1rpg) and lone, and puny, center, Justine Alano (11.7ppg, 7.0 rpg).
BUT. Earl Thompson can forget about those thanks to Bright Akhuetie showing up out of nowhere and terrorizing people like Drogon seeing little girls everywhere and lighting them on fire. Scottie Thompson is back after having one of the best MVP seasons in recent memory. The combo guard was flat-out absurd as he posted 17.4ppg, 11.4rpg, 5.8apg.
Now if they can only find a third person to help them out, they’d be good. As it is, they’re the best team to go against San Beda since Bright can go toe-to-toe with that behemoth named Adeogun.
