Well, the Ultimate Fighting Championship is sending over Alistair “The Reem” Overeem to kick-off the month-long festivities to celebrate the long-awaited first show of the UFC in Philippines soil. Before Overeem’s public meet and greet and open workout on Sunday, April 19, 2015, “The Reem” together with the Ultimate Fitness Gym in Metrowalk, Pasig City, will host a martial arts seminar for the professionals, amateurs, and casual martial artists on Saturday, April 18.
Who is Alistair Overeem?

Alistair Overeem (MMA: 39-14-1 UFC: 4-3 KB: 10 [7 KO]-4) is an accomplished heavyweight mixed martial artist competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. At one point in his career, Overeem held the Strikeforce and DREAM Heavyweight Championships, and as well as, the K-1 World Gran Prix Championship in 2010. He is just one of only two fighters in history to hold an MMA Championship and a K-1 Kickboxing Championship at the same time.
Currently, Alistair Overeem is the 8th ranked UFC Heavyweight. He is behind #7 former UFC Heavyweight Champion, Andrei Arlovski, and ahead of #9 former USMMA Heavyweight Champion, Ben Rothwell. Moreover, he is currently riding a two fight winning streak in wins over Stefan Struve (UFC on FOX 13: 25-7, by 1st rd KO) and Roy Nelson (UFC 185: 20-11, by UD).
