UE secures four recruits from Mapua


Jack Santiago continued to bolster the University of the East pool on Friday.

The Red Warriors secured the commitment of four Mapua players: a Cardinal and three Red Robins.

The trio of Nico Mulingtapang, Aki Valina, and Ronjie Go is set to play for UE in UAAP Season 87.

Mulingtapang, a product of the Batang Tiaong basketball program under Atty. Rex Baldeo, is a 6-foot guard who averaged 8.0 points, 2.33 assists, and 1.0 steal during the NCAA Season 99 Juniors Basketball Tournament.

Valina, a 6-foot-1 guard, averaged 7.22 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.22 steals per contest, while Ronjie Go is a 6-foot-6 prospect.NCAA-99-Finals-MU-vs.-SBU-Kobe-Dalisay UE secures four recruits from Mapua Basketball MIT News UAAP UE  - philippine sports news

UE also secured another Batang Tiaong standout in Kobe Dalisay.

Dalisay, a 5-foot-11 guard, was a rookie for the Cardinals last season, averaging 5.1 points and 1.14 rebounds.

Dalisay will sit out Season 87 and will be eligible for four more years.

All four players are represented by Phenom Sports Management.

Earlier commitments to UE include Mur Alao and the Duremdes brothers.
