Soaring Falcons squash Red Warriors for second win

The Adamson University Soaring Falcons pulled their second win in the UAAP Season 80 Men’s Volleyball Tournament, dumping the University of the East Red Warriors, 25-16, 25-18, 25-12, at the FilOil Flying V Centre.

AdU took advantage of UE’s subpar overall play. The Red Warriors, who underwent a coaching change last week, only managed 25 attack points while the Falcons poured in 46.

“Nakakapagod din po kasi matalo so talagang pinilit namin na matapos ‘yung first round namin na panalo. Sana makatulong sa susunod na round,” thought Adamson leading scorer Pao Pablico, who tacked on 20 points against the Red Warriors.

Middle blocker Royce Bello added 16 markers while Leo Miranda added nine points.

The Soaring Falcons finished the first round at 2-5, tied with the UP Fighting Maroons.

Clifford Inoferio led the Warriors with eight points. Kim Adriano managed seven markers.

The Red Warriors remain winless in seven outings.
