With the UAAP Season 81 Men’s Basketball Tournament opening its curtains on Saturday, September 8, the league released the final roster of the teams.
Defending UAAP champions Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles will only have one graduating student-athlete in its lineup, Anton Asistio.
Ateneo’s arch-rivals De La Salle University Green Archers, on the other hand, will only have 13 players in its lineup. Only one will graduate in Kib Montalbo. They will have five new student-athletes for the season.
The oldest team this season is the Far Eastern University Tamaraws, as they will have six graduating student-athletes.
The University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons, on the other hand, have five super seniors – including Paul Desiderio. UP made a last minute replacement as well, lining up James Spencer for Evyn Santiago.
Season-hosts National University Bulldogs replaced Manny Mangayao for Troy Rike.
The University of the East Red Warriors are headlined by third-year Alvin Pasaol while the University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers will see the return of Renzo Subido and Embons Bonleon.
