UAAP cancels Saturday’s men’s basketball, women’s badminton games due to Paeng

With the National Capital Region being put under signal no. 3 due to Typhoon Paeng, the Commission on Higher Education has suspended all activities under its watch.

And this includes the University Athletic Association of the Philippines.

With this, the league has cancelled its men’s basketball and women’s badminton games scheduled on Saturday and will be moved to another day.

Scheduled basketball games are De La Salle University taking on University of Santo Tomas to open the second round followed by Ateneo de Manila University squaring off against Adamson University at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.

Meanwhile, defending women’s badminton champion Ateneo was supposed to take on UST at Centro Atletico at 1:00 PM. Also supposed to be played were Adamson facing University of the Philippines and La Salle taking on National University.

The women’s games in basketball and men’s games in badminton are still ongoing as of publishing.
