In the boys’ division, holders Baby Tamaraws overcame a tough opening day match to secure their first win.

FEU-D’s Kyle Tandoc and Amet Bituin went into the wringer in the second set to beat UST’s John Lagaran and Lance Malinao, 21-15, 24-22.
