Tungcab, Rangel get SBP release, join PBA teams

Two more Gilas draftees have secured their release from the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.

Jaydee Tungcab and Tzaddy Rangel have already been released from their bond with Gilas Pilipinas Men.

“Yes, he’s been released and has started working out with us,” Road Warriors head coach Yeng Guiao told ArangkadaNLEX.com.

Tungcab also confirmed the development to Tiebreaker Times but is still negotiating with TNT.

Rangel only played in one game for Gilas, playing six minutes versus India during the 2023 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers.

Meanwhile, Tungcab appeared in three games for Gilas, two during the Asia Cup Qualifiers and against New Zealand in the World Cup Qualifiers.

With this, only William Navarro remains as the only full-time Gilas player.

Jordan Heading is currently with Taichung in T1. Meanwhile, Isaac Go, Rey Suerte, Allyn Bulanadi, and the Nieto twins have already signed with their respective PBA mother teams.
