Top UAAP schools looking at CEU’s Henry Agunanne

Every top UAAP school is looking to secure the commitment of one of the brightest foreign student-athletes in the land today.

Centro Escolar University’s Henry Agunanne has been invited to workouts and campus tours of top UAAP schools, namely De La Salle University, University of Santo Tomas, and Far Eastern University, according to multiple sources closely monitoring the situation.

One of the sources added that it is still not sure whether Agunanne will visit Ateneo de Manila University and University of the Philippines as well.

Agunanne has already tried out at La Salle on Monday before having a campus tour of UST on Tuesday.

He is expected to visit FEU later this week.

Agunanne is a 6-foot-11 Nigerian student-athlete, who helped tow the Scorpions to the UCBL Season 5 title.

The 21-year-old big man, who is the successor of UAAP Season 85 MVP Malick Diouf in CEU, posted averages of 10.7 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game.

He only spent one season with CEU.

If ever he transfers to the UAAP, Agunanne has to sit out one year before being eligible for UAAP Season 87.

La Salle has long sought for a skilled FSA while FEU has reportedly let go of Patrick Tchuente.

Ateneo has Joseph Obasa and Godslove Nwadube waiting in the wings while UST and UP will lose Adama Faye and Malick Diouf, respectively, to graduation by next year.
