Eddieson Orcullo replaces Babes Castillo as Sta. Lucia undergoes major revamp

Sta. Lucia has promoted assistant coach Eddieson Orcullo to chief tactician of the Lady Realtors ahead of the 2020 season of the Philippine Superliga.

The team’s official social media accounts made the announcement on Wednesday.

“We are happy and excited to announce that former Sta. Lucia assistant coach Eddieson Orcullo will now be calling the shots as head coach for the Lady Realtors!” the Facebook post read.

“Congratulations and may the force be with you, coach Ed!”

Sta. Lucia’s helm is not a foreign area for Orcullo. He held the coaching post of the Lifesavers midway through the 2019 PSL Invitationals, leading the team to one win out of three matches.

Orcullo is the sixth head coach of the franchise following the likes of Macky Cariño, Sammy Acaylar, Jerry Yee, George Pascua and Babes Castillo.

He will handle a new-look Sta. Lucia squad, which bid farewell to most of its players, including Joy Dacoron, Eli Soyud, Rachel Austero, Rebecca Rivera, Amanda Villanueva — to name a few.
