TNT seeks revenge vs Titan Ultra as San Miguel faces Macau in PBA Govs’ Cup

The PBA will continue with its Season 50 Governors’ Cup games later amid the heavy rains, and so it is business as usual as well for TNT and San Miguel.

Two of the league’s traditional contenders banner the double-header affair at the faraway Ynares Center II in Montalban, Rizal, with both of them hoping to generate momentum anew when they take on components in dire need of wins.

The Tropang 5G will open the gameday with a clash against Titan Ultra at 5:15 p.m., followed by the Beermen’s duel with guest team Macau at 7:30.

The defending conference champions are eyeing a quick bounce back after suffering a narrow 88-83 defeat to Jimmy Alapag’s NLEX last Tuesday, which enabled the latter to stretch their unbeaten streak to six games.

That foiled their bid to win a third straight game, although Coach Chot Reyes & Co. are still at third in the seven-team Group A with an even 3-3 record.

They do have a chance to go above .500 again later, but it may not solely be about improving their standing. TNT is surely looking to get back at the 2-5 Giant Risers, who handed them a 103-87 beating last July 22.

But Titan Ultra is coming in confident. Aside from having the mental edge against the Tropa, the crew is fresh off a 132-128 win over the Giant Pandas.

According to CasinoPlus Sportsbook, TNT is favored at 1.36 on the moneyline, while Titan is listed at 2.92.2026-PBA-Governors-Cup-San-Miguel-vs-Macau-Don-Trollano TNT seeks revenge vs Titan Ultra as San Miguel faces Macau in PBA Govs' Cup Basketball News PBA - philippine sports news

San Miguel, on the other hand, is out to follow up its 126-114 win over Converge last Wednesday, hoping, of course, to build another winning streak.

It’s been quite shaky as of late for the 5-2 Beermen, having won just twice in their last four outings after collecting a hat-trick of wins to start the conference.

But now, they’re wishing that it is the start of another solid run ahead after completing a group phase sweep of the FiberXers, intending to do the same against Macau, which it beat, 123-109, last July 14 for a triumphant debut.

Still, it’s not lost on SMB that it won’t be easy, especially against a team that’s starting to pick it up. Before the aforementioned loss, the Giant Pandas actually won back-to-back by taking down Titan and Terrafirma, in that order.

CasinoPlus Sportsbook has San Miguel Beer as the clear moneyline favorite at 1.22, with Macau listed at 3.94.
