So heated was Game 2 of the PBA Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup Finals Sunday night that the TNT dugout inside Mall of Asia Arena was left damaged.
In the aftermath of the Tropang Giga’s narrow 71-70 defeat to Ginebra, a huge dent was left on the wall as discovered by members of the press.
There is still no word whatsoever as to who or what caused as much, with the venue management yet to issue a statement regarding the matter.
No confirmation as well from the team itself could be made after the emotional encounter, which saw Poy Erram leave his team and head to the TNT dugout during the latter part of the third canto and with his side down by six that time.
He was caught on video kicking some of the team’s equipment just outside their locker room before going in, apparently out of frustration.
The temperamental big man was then followed by some of his teammates, including Brandon Rosser and Ryan Reyes to probably check on him.
Erram, accompanied by Reyes, would rejoin the Tropang Giga after a short while and went on to finish the game, which saw the crew fall just short of completing the rally as they got denied by Justin Brownlee and the Kings’ D.
But then again, it remains unclear as to who or what the culprit was behind the damaged wall until the MoA Arena staff concludes its investigation.
