Terrence Romeo is making his way back to national team duties as he leads the 12-man pool for Gilas Pilipinas 3×3 for the 30th Southeast Asian Games from November 30-December 11.
The San Miguel Beermen guard last donned the national tri-colors over a year ago. Back then, he played for the Filipino dribblers during the third window of the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers.
Romeo — who has played the three-a-side event before — heads a talent pool that has no one from the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3 league, which houses the country’s top-ranked 3×3 players.
The all-PBA pool includes Meralco Bolts’ Raymond Almazan, Chris Newsome, and Baser Amer; NorthPort Batang Pier’s Mo Tautuaa and Robert Bolick; and TNT KaTropa’s Anthony Semerad.
Completing the cast are Magnolia Hotshots’ Ian Sangalang, Blackwater Elite’s Mac Belo, Alaska Aces’ Chris Banchero, Columbian Dyip’s CJ Perez, and Phoenix Pulse’s Jason Perkins.
From this pool, the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas will choose the four players that will play in the meet.
