Terrafirma taps Belgian big man as import

Terrafirma has enlisted the services of Belgian big man Thomas De Thaey for the upcoming 2023-24 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

De Thaey’s agency, Pegasus Sports, made the announcement on Monday.

“Thomas, a versatile big man with a wide range of offensive tools, excels at finishing above the rim, taking outside shots, and being a very good transition player. Additionally, he possesses a strong and robust physique that makes him an excellent defender who fights for every rebound,” the agency’s post read regarding the 6-foot-8 center.

De Thaey, who is 32 years old, spent two years at NC State before turning professional in 2013.

He has since had stints in Belgium, France, Romania, Portugal, and Spain.

His most recent stint was with Uruguay’s Goes.
