Another Lakay gets another shot at the gold!
Stephen “The Sniper” Loman is the latest fighter from the famed La Trinidad, Benguet-based camp Team Lakay to receive a title shot as he is set to take on Canada’s Gary “Saint Lion” Mangat for the vacant Brave Combat Federation’s Bantamweight championship.
Loman, 20, will try to replicate his teammates Crisanto Pitpitunge and Eduard Folayang to win an MMA title in the world stage.
The Sniper is currently sporting a 9-2 record. He earned a crack at the promotion’s 135-pound belt after defeating Frans Mlambo last September 23, 2016.
His opponent though is no slouch.
Mangat (10-1) is currently on a tear. The Revolution Martial Arts & Fitness fighter holds an impressive six-fight winning run -0 two of which inside the Brave CF cage that includes a second round stoppage win of Loman’s teammate Troy Bantiag.
Filipino flyweight Jeremy Pacatiw (6-1) will also be facing Jalal Al Dajaa (303) in Brave’s ninth card this November 17 at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town, Bahrain.
