T1: Brickman steers Kaohsiung to romp of Taoyuan

Jason Brickman once again showed his on-court wizardry, steering Kaohsiung to a 111-84 win over Taoyuan in the 2021-22 T1 League season, Saturday at Kaohsiung Arena.

Already up 53-39 at the half, the Aquas poured it on in a 33-point third canto to gain an imposing 86-60 lead entering the final frame.

The lead would balloon to as high as 29 points, 111-82, as Kaohsiung cruised to a 15-5 record to remain in solo first in the six-team league.

Brickman produced 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting with nine assists and five rebounds.

With Brickman guiding the way, five other Aquas scored in double-figures.

Mindaugas Kupšas led the way with 24 points and nine rebounds while Ferrakohn Hall got 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Yu Chunan got 16 points on an efficient 6-of-8 shooting clip while Lin Jenhong drained four treys for 12 points.

Taoyuan, meanwhile, fell to 4-14.

Deyonta Davis led the Leopards with 17 points while Elijah Thomas and John Gillon both got 16 points apiece.

Up next for Kaohsiung is New Taipei tomorrow.
